Enact has partnered with Palmetto LightReach to offer seamless integration of financing options directly within the Enact solar design platform. This guide walks you through the full process—starting from initial activation, to applying Palmetto Lightreach products within a design, and understanding the required validations for successful financing.
Before enabling Palmetto Lightreach within Enact, installers must request a Palmetto Lightreach Organization Alias, which is required to complete the setup.
Email the following addresses:
partneractivation@palmetto.com
customer.success@enact-systems.com
In your email, include your company name, contact information, Enact Account ID and request for a Palmetto Lightreach organization alias activation.
If you already have a Palmetto Lightreach organization alias, you must still send this activation request via email.
If you don’t have an alias, Palmetto Lightreach will create and share one with you.
Palmetto Lightreach will process your activation and once you receive your organization alias, you’re ready for the next step. Enact Corporate and Dealers need to separately apply with Palmetto LightReach and follow the process stated above.
Only Admin users in Enact can enable the Lightreach integration.
Log in to your Enact account.
Go to Settings.
Click on the LIVE API tab.
Locate Lightreach, then enable and activate it using your Organization Alias.
Once a solar project design is completed, you can apply Palmetto Lightreach financial products from within the Enact platform.
Finish your design by:
Adding panels
Running shading analysis
Running the simulation
Go to the Finance page.
Under Finance Options, select a Lightreach financial product.
Palmetto Lightreach will then run a series of automated eligibility validations in real time.
✅ If the design qualifies:
You will see green check marks next to each validation item.
❌ If the design does not qualify:
The failed validation(s) will be clearly indicated on the same window.
The Publish Proposal button will remain disabled until all required validations pass.
Once all validations are successfully passed, the savings and loan details will be displayed in the Finance Card, and the project will be ready for proposal generation.
To ensure compliance and successful financing, the following automatic validations are applied:
Hardware Compatibility
Only Approved Hardware List hardware from Lightreach’s approved list is allowed.
Solar-Only Projects
This integration supports solar-only systems as of now.
Though Enact supports Solar + Storage designs and Palmetto Lightreach also finances solar + storage, but this use case is not yet supported in this integration. This feature is currently under development and will be made available in a future update.
State Validation
The project must be located in a Palmetto Lightreach approved U.S. state.
Installer License Validation
Palmetto Lightreach checks that the installer has an active license for that state. For any queries users will have to reach out to Palmetto Lightreach for assistance
Utility Compatibility
The utility selected must be supported by Palmetto Lightreach. Users are able to change the utility provider on the project details page
System Loss Threshold
Total system loss (excluding shading loss) must fall within Lightreach’s state-specific permissible limits.
View System Loss Limits by State (under the section "System Loss Settings")
Shading Analysis Required
Max Financed Amount Validation
Every project must remain within the maximum amount Palmetto Lightreach can finance.
This limit is shown during validation. If the project cost exceeds this value, the proposal cannot be published until corrected.
Update the project cost on the Finance Page to ensure it falls within the maximum financing limit specified by Palmetto Lightreach.
Currently, only solar-only projects are supported through this integration.
Please note that the list of validations mentioned above is not exhaustive. Additional checks may be performed in the background by Lightreach.
This integration does not automatically create accounts in the Palmetto Lightreach portal. Installers are required to manually create and manage accounts for the approved accounts within the Palmetto Lightreach platform.
